Ladies...let’s get together and celebrate one another with a luncheon and “entertainment”, and of course some great fellowship. All women are welcome whether you are a mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend, aunt or all of the above! So mark your calendar and look for an upcoming bulletin announcement about ticket sales. Seating is limited (to the size of our social hall!), so don’t hesitate to buy your tickets. The cost will be $5.00 per person. You are asked to bring a salad of your choice to share and a green salad and toppings will be provided as well as rolls, beverages and dessert. There is also a few more hostesses needed for the tables (you will be asked to bring place settings and decorations for a table of 8, as well as help serve your guests at that table) and also help setting up and cleaning up is appreciated. If you have any questions, see Betty Brown (447-2414) or Becki Fulton in the church office (448-5055). See you there!

Talent Show and Potluck - May 10,
The potluck will be Saturday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. Come and share your special recipe, craft, quilt, hobby or woodworking project. If you have cooked a really special dish for the potluck, bring your recipe, name your price and sell it with the proceeds going to the Renovation Fund. You will also be able to purchase tickets which you can award to your favorite Talent Show acts.Saturday May 10, 2008 Mark your Calendars

Talent Show Begins in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. We want everyone to share the talent that God has given to them. Show your talent of cooking or baking for the potluck. We will all be grateful to share in your talent. And you can also show your handmade talents and bring them to display during the potluck. Here are a few suggestions: china painting, crocheted or knit items, wood cravings, stained glass, paintings, pottery, poetry, photography, etc. children’s art works too: crafts, models, or artwork. After the potluck and craft display, come enjoy the show. We will be offering tickets to be purchased to use to vote for your favorite acts. Cans are numbered according to the acts and placed in the center isle. You pick your favorite act by placing tickets in the corresponding can. Money raised will be going toward our Sanctuary Renovation Project. Sign Up With Sheila Ratliff (448-0627) to let her know how you want to participate. We have some great acts in the planning stages. Believe me, you will be surprised at what your fellow worshipers have chosen to do. A good time is on the horizon. Our goal is to LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!!!! Once again, hot dogs, hamburgers and all the fixings will be provided, but please plan to bring a side-dish for the potluck. This year, please make a special effort to invite friends and neighbors to share a casual time and a great picnic.

River Cats Ball Game - July 3,
Arrangements have been made for special discounted tickets to the River Cats baseball game on Thursday evening, July 3. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. and will include a presentation by the Travis AFB Honor Guard, a flyover by jets from Travis and conclude with a spectacular fireworks display. We are looking into the possibility of chartering a bus, so if that idea appeals to you, make it known to a committee member. Once again, we encourage you to reach out to your friends and neighbors and invite them to join us in this event.
